Travelling to London by train takes just under 2 hours with trains departing daily. Commuters can also travel with ease to other locations close by, such as Stoke-on-Trent and Reading.

For international travel, Manchester Airport is located 10.7 miles away and can be accessed by road and rail.

Regeneration and Investment into Macclesfield

Investment and regeneration of Macclesfield Town centre is taking place to improve the outside facilities of cafes and restaurants, walkways and street lighting with the aim to increase footfall and the local economy.

Macclesfield received an investment of £650,793 from the government’s Department of Transport (DfT) as part of the Summer of Cycling and Walking scheme. This investment was made to cover improvements to National Route 55, a key travel route from Macclesfield town centre to the northern suburbs, with the aim of encouraging more people to walk or cycle on their journey.
