New Report Shows Over 13% Of All Spanish Property Purchases Are From Overseas.

A new report released this week by the Association of Registrars Real Estate Statistics has shown an increasing number of property purchases in Spain are being made by overseas buyers. The report, which covers the last calendar year has shown a seventh consecutive year of growth in the number of foreign buyers, rising from just over 4% back in 2009.
A deeper inspection into the figures shows a number of regional fluctuations, with popular tourist destinations such as the Balearic Islands (35.6%) and the Canary Islands (28.1%) showing higher percentages of overseas buyers than the national average.
