At the beginning of construction North House faced some delays due to asbestos materials being found throughout the building which required treatment and removal. This has put construction eight weeks behind schedule, however all works on removing and treating the asbestos is now completed on the upper floors, with works on the basement ongoing until April 2018.
The seventh and sixth floor is now completely stripped with new partitions studded and boarded and all door frames installed. Plastering on the seventh floor is approximately 80% plastered and 60 to 70% plastered on the sixth floor. All demolished material from the seventh and sixth floor is currently on the fifth floor, due to road closures around the building, preventing the removal of the material at the rear entrance.
