A major part of our service to investors is to keep them informed on the status and progress of their investments. Whilst we benefit from being in close proximity to many of our investment projects, a large number of our clients live further afield, often outside of the UK in destinations including the Middle East and Fat East. As such, it is import for our investors to know that they are being kept fully informed during all stages of the investment, especially during the crucial construction stages.
As such, last Friday we undertook a visit to the site of the superb new Shankly Hotel in Liverpool city centre. The latest hotel to be opened by the rapidly expanding Signature Living Group, the Shankly Hotel is due to open its doors to the public in the middle of August this year. With a large number of our clients having already invested in the Shankly Hotel, we decided to visit the project to check on the progress of the build, and to get a better idea on some of the new features which will be incorporated into this new hotel.
Having last toured the inside of the Shankly Hotel back in May, we were expecting to see considerable progress on the construction, and to be fair we were not disappointed. A large number of workmen were on the site at the time, and there has been significant progress since our last visit. The structure of all the new rooms are now in place, and a number of the rooms have already been furnished. We told by the developers that the current focus is primarily around the individual units, and this emphasis will gradually switch over to the communal areas (hallways and receiptions etc) over the course of the next few weeks. It is worth noting that the rooftop terrace, bar (1,000 capacity), slide and pool are due for completion in January.
Overall, construction seems to be on schedule for the soft launch phase, which is currently timetabled for the middle of August. We were pleased with the standard of the finishes being incorporated, and it would be fair to say that the Shankly Hotel will be a rather special hotel once it is completed.
