UK Property Market Prices Drop By 0.4% In October

New figures released by the Halifax Building Society have shown a slight decrease in the price of the average UK property in October. According to the figures from the Halifax, one of the UK’s leading mortgage lenders, UK real estate prices fell by an average of 0.4%, wiping out the marginal gains made during September.

Standardised house prices for October 2014 were £186,135, which reflected an increase of 8.8% when compared with the previous year. However these figures were down by approximately £700.00 on the previous month’s, as purchasers began to display concern over potential interest rate increases in the short to medium term.
