Set on the south bank of the River Thames, Greenwich has a number of royal connections, particularly as the birthplace of many significant members of the House of Tudor. Greenwich is a large area and is divided into the East and West sections with the historic old town in the centre.
The Greenwich streets are leafy ones with a number of large Georgian town houses and Georgian or Victorian terraces up for grabs. The area is now under major redevelopment, with new blocks of flats and duplex apartments appearing, which has created many new properties for sale in Greenwich.
Greenwich Park is a beautiful open space that attracts many visitors from the surrounding areas. It is London’s oldest Royal Park and is situated on a hilltop with impressive views of many of the sights of London.
The Greenwich station connects to Charing Cross and the Docklands Light Railway stops at both Greenwich station and the Cutty Sark station and offers a connection to Canary Wharf. As well as a range of bus routes there are also river boat services running from Greenwich Pier into the centre of London.
The area now has Royal Borough status, which was awarded as part of the recent Diamond Jubilee. This was largely due to its connections to the royal family and the fact that it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

"We have greatly appreciated the advice and professional expertise given to us by Pure Investor. Chris provided various options with speed and efficiency and was always a friendly voice, someone with whom we could easily discuss matters in the initial stages of our negotiations. Likewise Katie has made the later stages of the process very smooth and straightforward. This has been a real boon as we live in Hong Kong and all contact has been by email and phone. Our daughter has now been able to view the completed apartment and to send us photos and we are truly delighted. We would recommend their services to other clients without reservation."
